Hey everybody
I have a bit of a weird question....
My kitty (bad, bad kitty) peed all over my Derby stuff, so now my helmet and knee pads REEK! I got rid of my mouth guard , but I would like to get the smell out of everything else so I can skate without gagging.
Any ideas out there? Anything your grandma told you that will work? I will try everything.
Thanks girls!

Oxy-clean!!! Try it. Really hot water in the bath-tub (about 1/4 full tub), use 6-8 HEAPING scoops of oxy-clean. Let the gear soak for a few hours, rinse the bejesus out of it and let it air dry. Hopefully that'll work.

I swear by Oxy Clean! Soak your pads in it for a couple of hours and rinse them out good. I put them outside to dry. Gets rid of stank!

before you use the oxy clean you might want to try vinger on them then oxy them. The thing with cat pee is it can really persist unless you kill the enzyme that causes the smell. Vinger is one way to do this.
so soak your stuff in vinger first. then oxy them...and you should get rid of any lingering smell
** I have a lot of experience with cats peeing on my stuff

Sweet, thanks girls.
I will soak my stuff in vinegar and then in oxy.... if that doesn't kill the smell, then I don't know what will.

If it de danked my gear it can defeat a cat!!
I used like 7 scoops!! Super hot water in the tub for a long time with some squishin to get it soaked in. Then a cool rinse with some squeezin then out in the sun to dry = )
